The word “no”

We have been familiar with the word “no” since childhood, right? So, why as adults we tend to forget it exists? We have neglected or freedom of speech by not letting the words leave our lips! We have been mistreated, overworked, unappreciated, overlooked and etc.. Why? Because we have forgotten that sweet word. If you want a cherry on top of that sweetness add “sorryyyyyy, no”. You may feel a small ball forming in the back of your throat. Don’t worry! It comes from that amazing heart of yours. It’s basically yearning to fulfill everyone’s wants and needs. Not today! Fix your posture and own the ground underneath your feet by walking your imaginary runway!

Saying “No” Could Be Hard!

Some human beings want to show respect, kindness and love to everyone. During Adam and Eve’s (before the eviction) time that would have been possible. In 2021 that’s just not the case and it’s truly sad. We have to have this certain boldness to our character. As a toddler the value of “no” is embedded in your mind. When at that age we’re wondering “why, can’t we fart fairy dust and eat candy off the floor”. As we age the meaning and way of using “no” has elevated, completely. It can cause positive and negative effects for relationships, businesses , households and future endeavors. “No” can cause fear and fear can prevent progress. “No”can lead to unwanted confrontations or it could build a stronger foundation. Fear hinders us from seeing what the outcome will be. So, we become “yes” men and women.

The “Should’ve And Could’ve”

I should’ve said “N to the O” a few times. I know you guys can relate, right? We have a tendency to add mental and physical damage to our lives and spirit. Self inflicted pain and mental abuse can be a tough pill to swallow. It comes with self esteem issues, guilt, anger and resentment toward ourselves. So, we say “I’m so stupid, I should’ve left in the beginning” or “I could’ve done this” but that’s not the case. In that moment you were right where you needed to be. Sometimes, we have to get “sick and tired of being sick and tired”in order to make a change. Experience, strength and wisdom is gained by going through turmoil. No, I’m not saying you need to go through some Tyler Perry turmoil but just a little. The “should’ve and could’ve” is of the past and it’s given you the courage to determine what’s best for your life. The times you should have said “no” but didn’t is now apart of your testimony. It has prepared you to say “no” and treasure your worth and peace of mind.

Some Of The Top “No’s”

1. If something is going to affect your mental state, no!

2. If something makes you question your character and morals, no!

3. If a relationship is one sided, no!

4. If it’s finically hurting you, no!

5. if it’s causing you physical pain, no!

6. If it’s taking up valuable time, no!

7. If it will dismantle your household, no!

8. If it’s going to cause you spiritual warfare, NO!

The list can go on but for now, we’ll stop here. “Slow and steady” wins the race, right? We are in this journey to being the best version of ourselves together.

Peace And Love B-Fam!

Write My Story

You could never really see what’s in front of you

Until It’s past you…..

Like,

the relationship was just a fling

sex was just apart of the game

If no remorse

Leaving dust and sounds of deep chokes

I tried to warn my self

But wasn’t feeling pressed

So, I digressed

It’s a mess

I’m in so deep

Dont know if god could help

tryna find myself

Then I heard a voice

saying

I’m your choice

It was god

Taking my hand,

Guiding me through his plan

Your will is so real

You could write my story

Mind State While Writing This:

1. My mind was wondering into reflection mode.

2. I felt blessed to know that in that moment I was just being free with my writing….

3. It felt good to express those emotions that once had me locked in to thinking I’d never move past it…

4. This will help someone

Who Am I?

This is the hardest question to answer, honestly. There are so many things a person wants to say but just bite their lips and say what’s “socially correct”. Plus, I’ve never been good at talking about myself. So, I’ll break the ice with a short but hopefully sweet intro! I have no introduction to who I am but I can give you a warm welcome into what should have been a proper intro. By the end of this journey with you guys (because all good things must come to an end) I hope to know why God placed me here. Im hoping my relationship with god becomes stronger as this journey continues. Hopefully, we’ll be able to help each other figure out our purpose. In order to move forward in a healthy manner The past has to be addressed along with the topics we don’t like to heal. As well as hearing others story may inspire us. Everyday we are growing and learning more and more about ourselves. It can be scary, confusing and lonely at times. So, my blog is for laying it all out there to heal and move forward. It’s about making mistakes and learning to take advice. It’s about discussing the taboo topics that people act like don’t exist……because it’s considered “taboo”. Loves, time is too short to play. So, let’s get this thing called “life” right together! Because, I don’t know about you guys but I need help! Lol
